Hey Everyone,

It has been a rough road on this one, but I might just make it.

Classical, bolt on neck (mortise and tenon), myrtlewood back and sides, englemann top, ebony binding and wenge end wedge. Body size and shape are barrowed from a Martin 1-18, but it is fan braced and will have nylon strings. I stained the neck with an ebony stain just for fun. Still need to buff it out, but waiting until it hardens a bit.

Excuse the poor pictures, I need a new camera!

Jeff

She sure is purty!
What made you decide to go with staining the neck?

Wow Jeff,

That's really lovely. I especially like the simple & wide rosette. The top purfling is a nice touch also. All very elegant & well done. I like to see the bolt-on neck approach applied to a classical guitar. You've got quite a nice one there.

Another beauty from the tallented group of luthiers at the OLF! Really ,a nice job Jeff. I like ebony binding too. And the rosette looks really sharp on the engelmann top.

Very nice Jeff, she's coming along very well indeed. Ebony always adds that touch of class to a guitar IMO.

I would be interested to hear a report from you of how this one sounds, I have never heard a myrtle guitar before, what other tonewood is it similar to?

Cheers

Kim

That looks fantastic Jeff... I really love your choice of woods and also the contrast between the myrtle and the ebony... Very sweet!

That rosette is very cool too. Keep it up! I'm looking forward to seing her stringed up.

Did you French Polish?

Jeff, let me join the chorus of praise--it looks great.
So, just what was it that was so rough?
Looks like it all went well... must be a sign of talent!

Very nice guitar Jeff- I love small guitars, esp classicals! Nice silking on that top, and the binding and
end graft set off the myrtle beautifully. How was the myrtle to bend? Can't wait to hear about how it sounds.
